Summoned to Serve

We serve a God whose blessings are new every morning; we seek as a church to always be listening to God and to be seeking his vision for our life here on Portrack.

As we have been listening, the phrase ‘summoned to serve’ came up and together we felt that this epitomised what God was calling us to. Summoned to Serve embodies a radical call to surrender and to service– rooted in and sustained by and motivated by God’s love for us. It is not simply a call to service; it is a call to be a church formed of people who are transformed by encounter with the living God, the overflow of which is community and mission. 

We want to proclaim over Portrack that God is here and that there is good news for those who are oppressed and held captive, that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ. We want to proclaim that the kingdom is coming; it is here– it is breaking in. God is on the move.
